Having in-home assistance allows you to remain in familiar surroundings, keep your own routines, and stay in touch with family, friends, and even pets.
We accomplish the challenging tasks that come with receiving care services in your home. We recruit, select, and train staff for you. We confirm their skills, direct and supervise their work. We provide relief and replacements when needed. We establish a proper wage, pay correctly on time, and make required deductions and payments for taxes. We maintain insurance for workers' injuries or you, and property damage. These services are not provided by internet referral services.
ADAPTED TO YOUR INDIVIDUAL NEEDS
With an in-home assessment we learn what services you need and want us to provide. If you are receiving other services like home nursing or physical therapy, or just housecleaning, we adapt to our times and tasks to coordinate with them.
YOU KNOW WHAT, WHEN, WHO, AND HOW MUCH
After learning your needs, we propose a task list and schedule, along with the weekly fee. Before service begins your service coordinator will personally introduce the care giver we recommend and ask your approval to proceed. We send out weekly schedules via mail and email. You may change or cancel your service with one business day's notice.
CAREFULLY SELECTED STAFF
Each of our care givers has received a thorough review of their past employment, their current level of skills, trustworthiness, dependability, and their desire to assist seniors. All of our care givers have undergone nationwide, criminal history, Dept.of Justice and FBI fingerprint checks and are registered with the California Department of Social Services Home Care Service Bureau.
BONDED, TRAINED, AND CAPABLE
All our care givers are bonded (insured) for their actions. We orient them to our practices and standards of care, dependability and courtesy. Our care staff attend six training sessions annually, in our classroom, with an in-person instructor. Live instruction allows presentations to be adapted to the skill and experience of those attending. Dialogue is used to communicate teaching points and confirm understanding.
CARE GIVERS RECEIVE REGULAR SUPERVISION
Before a care givers begin an assignment our Service Coordinator reviews with them your service plan and confirms they have the skill and availability to meet your needs. The Service Coordinator then arranges for you to meet the care giver. With your approval the service coordinator then orients the care giver to your routines, your home, and requested tasks.
Service Coordinators regularly visit you and your care giver to evaluate service. If you request changes or the care giver needs direction to meet our standards the Service Coordinator instructs the care giver. Each care giver’s performance is reviewed monthly, and included your input. Care givers achieving high standards receive a pay bonus.
